Indirect Sunlight

A short while ago I obtained a T-Mount adapter for my Nikon, and importantly a 1.25inch T-mount fitting for a Celestron Astromaster 70AZ. With a focal length of 900mm and an aperture of 70mm it allows for field of view of approximately 2 degrees. I have not had much opportunity to test it until a few nights ago due to poor weather or generally difficult viewing conditions.

My two main targets are Jupiter and of course the Moon as currently (north hemisphere in nov 2011) these are the easiest objects to spot in the night sky.

Both of the images below were taken very quickly and are “first tries” with the telescope+dslr arrangement, they are by no means optimal.
