Testing the 85b warm up filter.

Warm filters and cold filters (from what i read) are falling out of common use due to their effect being taken care of for the most part by even the most basic image processing tools.

I had the chance to pick up an 85b filter for both of my lenses at a local store (The store is closing 😦 and they came in at about $5 a pop). Here are two shots, colour corrected taken outside in cloudy sunlight. While i didn’t take the filter off to do a direct comparison, the corrected colours are very vivid and the contrast looks improved compared to some of photographs taken long ago of the same scenes.

Other filters to test are a ND-3 and a polarizer, but i will save those for later.

The corrected colours on this one take on a slightly blue tint, ultimately this can be changed and is more noticeable on my laptop monitor than the monitor i edited on.

A dandelion making a otherwise pretty flower bed look untidy, singled out for centre stage in this photograph. The sharp focus and rich background work rather well, and a similar feeling regarding the slight blue tone.
