Sheffield – Peace Gardens

Turning 90 degrees to the right from Millennium square, and walking for about 20 seconds, you pass a few rather expensive looking restaurants on your left and directly ahead is the Peace Gardens. It is a large open space, that arches around surrounding a central water fountain that emanates from the floor.

The fountain on the right pours into a channel that goes down the slope and all the way along the edge in a channel between the stone slabs and the grass. The building in the background you see is the Sheffield City Council building.  So we went from the modern, to the old.

You can also tell that, it was a very overcast day!

Pentax 67  on Portra 400, slight perspective correct to straighten the building.
