Trumpeter Swan

One of the other creatures I snapped at Fielding Memorial Park was a few Trumpeter Swans. They all sat in the open, on top of the ice seemingly not minding how frigidly cold it was. One swan sat on its own, separated from the rest by a small crack of open water. After about 5 minutes it got up and came over to check us out.

I snapped this as it swam over the mostly calm water.

I was expecting it to hiss at us (my general experience of Swans and their temperament), though it seemed to just calmly swim over to a 1ft water fall in front of us and perch itself on the ridge in front of it
